Healthy Living and Aspergers - Is it Easier than it looks?

Everyone has problems with Healthy living or eating and well it's January and we all know what that means: "Tis the Season to Diet!"  We've stuffed our faces over Christmas and really had a little too much to Drink over New Year and after all that food and Mulled Wine has been taken in by our bodies it's common knowledge that January is the time to diet! And it's EVERYWHERE !  If it's not the glossy mags or even your local Newspaper telling you what the best and new fabulous diet is for this year as they all seem to trend then it's the TV and the bombardment and peer pressure to conform and actually lose weight can start to get to every girl whether they have Aspergers or not.  I've talked a little bit about perception of appearance and body confidence before but never fully as a topic on it's own.  And as it is New Year and a New Start to the New You ( Feel free to grab a bucket! ) then it can be a little bit annoying when you...

Dear 2015 - Progress

So it's 5 days into the new year and I'm already starting on some of my Dear 2015 goals. Although they are not really New Years Resolutions, they are more and more becoming lifestyle changes. I've had a little bit of a crappy start to 2015 after getting a chest infection but made some steps to begin quitting smoking and eating healthier meals as well. One of the major things I am doing is applying for jobs and trying to get out there. It is something that any person would and do find stressful but with Aspergers the fear of being rejected is more stressful than anything else. I am excited and proud of myself and I am pleased that I'm accomplishing things already. If you're Dear 2015 let me know via Twitter or comment below and tell me how you are doing. Sophie xxxx

A little Idea for 2015

So it's nearly that time of year again when we fill up on the mince pies and stuff ourselves silly with food and come the 31st December we make some promises that sometimes we can't keep. So forget making New Years Resolutions for this year and take a look at this idea. Dear 2015  Dear 2015 is a healthy and positive way to create promises in an easy and practical way. Rather than keeping up with the New Years Resolution throughout January and then giving up by Valentines day or before, Dear 2015 is a list of goals that can be altered and changed to suit you.  How does it work? Grab a piece of paper and a pen and write down all the new years resolutions you want to make and then underneath them write a simple description of when you want to achieve the resolution.  Now grab another little piece of paper and write the resolution on the top and map out little and easy goals or targets you want to create to make sure you stay on track. If these become to difficult...
