Mental Health and Aspergers - What you Need To Know

In the news recently Mental Health services for young people have come under scrutiny after reports showed that many young people are struggling with getting access to the mental health services they need.  This is due down to budget cuts that have affected the money that is being provided to NHS Mental Health services for children and young adults living with complex mental health needs.  A Survey by Young Minds (charity) found: "That more than half of councils in England had cut or frozen budgets for a child and adolescent mental health between 2010-11 and 2014-15." And the figures do not look very pleasing, as reported by BBC News Online:  "Figures released last month showed NHS spending on children's mental health services in England had fallen by more than 6% in real terms since 2010. Interview With Asperger's Girl on ITV

This Morning is the biggest Daytime television show in the UK and on today's show highlighted the plight of young people with depression and mental health problems. The guest they had on was a beautiful and clever Aspergers girl who at the age of 7 had considered taking her own life. As someone watching I was proud of her for speaking out about her autism and how she had struggled and couldn't cope with normal school and the pressures that she faced as a Aspergers Child. I have got the link to ITV Player so you guys can watch it for yourselves! https://www.itv.com/itvplayer/this-morning Note: It Might Not Work in other countries!  Please take a look!!!

The fear I'm experiencing is the unknown and also what if the guy doesn't understand or in fact hears or reads the word autism or autistic and run.  In simple terms am I scared of rejection for nothing I can control, or is the fear that I have no control or have to pretend to be someone that I am no
